The Martha A. Smith Scholarship

Talented and deserving county residents look to Anne Arundel Community College to continue their education. For many, however, even our modest tuition is out of reach. While financial aid can fill this gap for our most economically disadvantaged students, many equally promising students' household earnings are just enough to make them ineligible for traditional financial aid, yet not enough to afford tuition. For these students, the Martha A. Smith Scholarship can make the difference.

The Anne Arundel Community College Foundation Inc. created the Martha A. Smith Scholarship in 2004 to recognize and celebrate Dr. Smith's first decade of success as president of the college. During her tenure, she expanded our ideas about lifelong learning and broadened the college's outreach to the community. She pursued a vision to make AACC a premier learning community whose students and graduates are among the best-prepared citizens and workers of the world.

Now the community has the opportunity to share in creating that vision. Please make a difference in someone's life and join us in building this vital fund.
