Applied foresight ... using the perspective

Continued Bird Flu View... A little foresight could go a long way. Read what the Center for Disease Control (USA) and the World Health Organization say about bird flu. Thinking locally, acting locally, hence, globally: Pandemics, flu and avian (bird) flu... clearly global and local concerns. See some of the steps each of us can take to impact the future and to prevent flu as provided by one local health department.  Also see the U.S 'road map' for potential flu disaster.

Time for a little summer reading?  Futures reading that is... In partnership with the World Future Society, the Institute for the Future @ AACC produces a set of core print materials. These titles are suggested as a basic set of library holdings. Of course, this is a dynamic list. Contributions for consideration to this list may be made on http://ola4.aacc.edu/soc/books/Stop by the core futures book list - table of contents.
