Founded in 1978 by Alvin Toffer, Jim Dator and Clem Bezold, IAF specializes in creating visionary futures for private and public sector organizations.
The Institute for the Future (IFTF)

World Future Society
"A nonprofit, nonpartisan scientific and educational association of people interested in how social and technological developments are shaping the future. The Society was founded in 1966 and is chartered as a nonprofit educational and scientific organization in Washington, D.C., U.S.A."
World Future Society Futurist Groups
A list of global groups of "futurists who are concerned about the world as a whole, but realize that effective action to achieve a better future generally takes place in one's local area. A local futurist group enables futurists in a given area to get to know each other, share ideas, and work together to educate the community about future possibilities."
World Futures Studies Federation
