Health Care Courses at AACC

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
ACLS certification and re-certification courses for professionals.

Assisted Living Management
AACC offers state-approved courses for new managers and re-certification courses for existing managers in the assisted living profession.

Basic Life Support/CPR/First Aid
CPR courses for professionals and non-professionals as well re-certification in all areas.  

Coding and Transcription
Learn the skills necessary to deliver quality healthcare by capturing accurate and timely medical data.

Human Services
Social workers, psychologists, nurses, substance abuse counselors and therapists, and other mental health professionals can earn CEUs (all are approved by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners for Category 1). Other approved accreditations are noted in the individual course descriptions.  

Nursing 
Learn new or update your skills in nursing (including Nurse Refresher), medicine aide, phlebotomy, IV & Venipuncture Techniques, assisted living (delegating nurse), and other topics. ANCC contact hours and/or Category I continuing education hours as defined by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners awarded (approved courses noted in course descriptions).

Medical Office Management
Medical office management is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and supervising the delivery of healthcare and is absolutely vital to the healthcare business. AACC is pleased to offer a variety of courses for professional development and training in this field.

Physician Assistant 
These courses are specifically designed to meet the continuing education needs of physician assistants and nurse practitioners. All courses approved for continuing education by the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) are noted following the course description.

Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy 
For both physical and occupational therapy practitioners as well as other health care providers. Courses approved by the Maryland State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners and the State Board of Occupational Therapy Practice are noted in the course description.

Public Health
Health professionals train to assist in the event you are asked to assist during a community health emergency.

Sterile Processing
Join the high-growth field of health care as a Central Sterile Processing Technician with training from Anne Arundel Community College and MK Education.  

Therapeutic Massage
Ideal for massage therapists and body-workers as well as other health care providers. AACC is a National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) continuing education approved provider.
