Wellness coaching is an evidence-based practice that assists individuals in meeting their physical and psychological wellness goals of fitness, nutrition, mindset, clean living and the balance between body and mind. The Wellness Coaching Certificate offered by Ed4Online here at Anne Arundel Community College is a 4-course sequence developed to increase individuals’ knowledge about the coaching profession, build an understanding of wellness based practices, and integrate effective helping skills with clients.
What is the training?
The curriculum is comprised of in-depth review of the coaching profession and wellness models, experiential learning in wellness coaching skills and the science of behavior change and practice in integrating the foundations of personalized wellness planning, healthy lifestyle behaviors, and integrative wellness modalities. The knowledge and skills learned in the Wellness Coaching Certificate program will assist professionals in creating more effective, long-term relationships with individuals while assisting clients in achieving overall lifestyle change and meeting their wellness goals. These course are best suited for individual currently working in or planning to work in helping professions, to include but not limited to healthcare, personal training, yoga, acupuncture, and behavioral health services.

WEL 513 Wellness Coaching: Part I
Wellness Coaching Part 1 Identify major health issues affecting Americans and learn how to treat them. Define healthy eating habits and the principles of fitness. Develop measures for avoiding common illnesses and disease.
WEL 514 Wellness Coaching: Part II
Wellness Coaching Part 2 Discuss preventive health measures. Prepare for a lifetime of health. Understand the impact of individual health and environment.
WEL 515 Wellness Coaching: Part III
Wellness Coaching Part 3 Integrate wellness and coaching. Discuss what's necessary to start a coaching business. Recognize the differences between consulting and coaching.

$1,100 for Anne Arundel County residents, including tuition and fee.

Students must be at least 18 years old. All 3 classes are co-requisites, so students must register for all 3 classes at once. All classes are online.
