What is my first step? 
Attend a free orientation seminar. No registration required. Orientation dates and times are available.

How long does it take to complete the program? 
After academic and admission requirements are met, it will take students two years to complete the program.

Does this program transfer into a Bachelor's degree program?
Yes, the MLT associate degree program prepares students to transfer into a medical technologist bachelor's degree program. In addition, an articulation agreement allows graduates of the MLT program to be able to earn a Bachelor of Technical and Professional studies (BTPS) in Laboratory Management from the University of Maryland University College (UMUC).

Where do students get clinical experience?
Clinical experience is obtained in hospital laboratories, independent free standing laboratories and physician based offices.

What is the median annual salary for a MLT? 
In 1996, the median annual salary for MLT's was around $32,800 with 10% earning more than $50,000.
