AACC Honors Program News and Events

Important Honors Information and Events:

  • Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) - FAFSA is the required form that must be submitted by a student hoping to receive financial aid, Federal Pell Grants, scholarships, and various other financial awards.  Many of the financial awards that are offered at AACC, as well as those offered to students transferring to four year colleges and universities, are based on academic achievement.
  • College Transfer Agreement News
    • Stevenson University - AACC Honors students who successfully complete the AACC Honors program will enjoy direct transfer into this institution's Honors program.
    • University of Baltimore - AACC Honors students who successfully complete the AACC Honors program will enjoy direct transfer into this institution's Honors program.

    What's new with AACC Honors?

  • Automatic $1,000 Honors Merit Scholarship for AACC Honors Students transferring to Stevenson University (formerly known as Villa Julie College)! Transfer students entering Villa Julie College could qualify for Transfer Scholarship awards that start at $3,000 and go as high as $11,000. In addition to this award, membership in an Honors program or society (such as Phi Theta Kappa at AACC-Omicron Chapter) gives the student an additional $1,000 each year.

  • The Presidential Scholarship is for first-year college students who enroll full time at AACC to pursue a degree or certificate and has met all qualifications.PDF The selected students will receive $1500 for the fall term and will also receive $1500 for the spring term after successfully completing at least 12 credits in the fall with a minimum 3.0 grade point average. This scholarship is not renewable for additional years.

  • The Kathy and Jerry Wood Scholarship is for first-year college students who will be enrolling full time at AACC to pursue a degree or certificate and has met all qualifications.PDF The selected students will receive $1500 for the fall term and will also receive $1500 for the spring term after successfully completing at least 12 fall credits in the fall with a minimum 2.5 grade point average. This scholarship is renewable for the next academic year if the student maintains a 2.5 grade point average and completes 27 credits.
