Digital Home Technology Integration

Network administrators, audio and video, telecommunications, satellite and cable installers, security system technicians and others with some technology experience prepare to enter the field of digital home technology integration. Train to install, integrate and troubleshoot interconnected home systems; including entertainment, telecommunication, lighting, HVAC, water management, security and access control systems. Examine the design approach, working principles, processes and standards that apply to the home technology industry.

What is the job outlook?
Employment in the telecommunications field is stable despite increasing demand for telecommunication services. Given the rapid technological changes in telecommunications, those with up-to-date technical skills will have the best job opportunities. What is the training?
Offered in partnership with Protrain Training, this continuing education program consists of seven online, noncredit courses that can be completed in as few as 12 months. Upon successful completion, students will be prepared to take CEA-CompTIA DHTI+ (Digital Home Technology Integration) certification. Total Hours: 280

What credentials can I earn?
Upon successful completion students will be prepared to take CEA-CompTIA DHTI+ (Digital Home Technology Integration) certification, formerly CompTIA HTI+. $2,800 for Anne Arundel County residents, including tuition and fees

What are the requirements?
Students must be at least 16 years old and have technology experience.
