The Center for Cyber and Professional Training at 7556 Teague Road is just off Route 100 in Hanover near Arundel Mills, providing specialized training at a greater convenience for individuals who live near that location and businesses and government agencies who want additional training for their employees.
The approximately 30,000-square-foot center, which opened August 2012, will house 13 specialized labs, a testing center and faculty support space for AACC’s CyberCenter and for contract training provided by the college’s Center for Workforce Solutions based at the Glen Burnie Town Center.
The specialized labs will allow users to conduct penetration testing and defense in a virtual environment. Additionally, students will be able to design and set up networks with cyber protections. A special feature of the new facility is a digital forensics lab designed to meet federal standards so that students may work on real-world projects in the lab. They also will be able to recover data from networks, desktop devices and mobile devices and reverse engineer malware.
