Barrier-free Access to AACC

Anne Arundel Community College supports the belief that all otherwise qualified citizens should have access to the college and that people should not be excluded from the college solely by reason of a disability.

Campus facilities provide barrier-free access through lifts, ramps and elevators at strategic locations, curb cuts which accommodate wheelchairs and marked parking spaces reserved for the disabled.  AACC was one of the nation’s first colleges to install a swimming pool chair lift. The college is in compliance with current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) legislation.
