Major Sites around the County

The college's main campus is located in Arnold, Maryland just minutes away from downtown Annapolis. The college has two centers where you can earn selective associate degrees without coming to the main campus. AACC at Glen Burnie Town Center (GBTC) and AACC at Arundel Mills both offer comprehensive college services. In addition, staff are available at the Fort Meade Education Center and the Sales and Service Training Center at Arundel Mills to assist you.

AACC main campus in Arnold

The college opened in temporary quarters at Severna Park High School in September of 1961. It moved to its Arnold campus in September 1967. The 230-acre Arnold campus includes eight academic buildings, a gymnasium, pool, student services center, student union, astronomy building, 440-seat performing arts center, library, two art galleries and 3,000-seat athletic field.  Over the years, the college added additional facilities in strategic locations throughout the county including the Fort Meade Army Education Center, Glen Burnie Town Center and Arundel Mills. Classes are offered in myriad locations throughout the county. AACC at Arundel Mills

AACC at Arundel Mills is located just off Route 100 in Hanover, Md. The six-acre site adjoining Arundel Mills lies outside Arundel Mills Circle near the Muvico Egyptian 24 Movie Theaters. Bus transportation is available to and from Arundel Mills, which offers more than 169 stores and 26 food establishments. On-site parking is available for students and visitors.

The 77,000-square-foot higher education facility offers students in the western portion of Anne Arundel College access to complete degree programs, noncredit courses and specialized instruction. AACC at Arundel Mills is a full service center.  You can register, receive academic advising, buy your books and access a host of other academic support services. You can also earn an advanced degree through the new AACC University Consortium partnership. 

An innovative partnership between Anne Arundel Community College, the AACC Foundation, Anne Arundel County and the Mills Corporation made this project possible. The foundation serves as the developer for the new location: financing the project, constructing the $10.65 million building and leasing it to the college. The county helped secure financing as the issuer of tax-exempt revenue bonds. The Mills Corporation, which owns and operates Arundel Mills, is leasing the land to the foundation. View directions 

AACC at the Glen Burnie Town Center 

AACC at the Glen Burnie Town Center (GBTC) includes academic facilities in Arundel Center North and the 10,000-square-foot Hospitality, Culinary Arts and Tourism (HCAT) Institute. AACC at the GBTC provides access to complete degree programs, noncredit instruction and specialized instruction. You can register, receive academic advising, buy your books and access a host of other academic support services. View directions

This premier teaching facility opened in September 2001. It offers 6,335 square feet of instructional kitchens plus two café classrooms, a computer lab and smart classroom. Credit degrees and certificates are offered in the hospitality/culinary arts field; avocational programming; continued professional education and customized contract training to meet the needs of students in the industry. View directions  

Arundel Mills Sales and Service Training Center

AACC and the Arundel Mills Mall have partnered with the National Retail Federation to create the Sales and Service Training Center at Arundel Mills. The center provides an array of courses and services including an intensive sales and customer service training courses to meet the needs of the sales and service industry. The training is based on national skill standards and prepares you for national certification as a professional in customer service. Additionally the center provides assistance for job seekers and helps employers by assessing, training and referring work-ready candidates for available positions. The college teaches Adult Basic Skills (ABS) classes in many sites around the county.
