Operation Welcome Home
Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, 7 p.m.
Support our troops and give them the hero’s welcome home they truly deserve by joining this group as they greet the soldiers coming home. Hundreds of sailors, airmen, soldiers and marines return from the War on Terror every week through the gates of the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.

Veterans Appreciation Week Service Project 2013
Rebuilding Together Anne Arundel County
Saturday, Nov 9, 2013, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Project location: 111 Shiley Street, Annapolis, MD 20401
Painting a veteran's home for Rebuilding Together: Please wear workman’s clothing. Breakfast and lunch will be provided and water, soda and coffee will be available all day. Veterans Day Ceremony and Reception
Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, 11 a.m.
Program will begin with a dedication of the new Veterans Memorial Garden at the base of the amphitheater on AACC’s west campus, then move immediately indoors to Cade Center for Fine Arts room 219 for the remainder of the ceremony. The Veterans History Project will have materials on display. Small reception will follow.
Open House- Military and Veterans Resource Center
Monday, Nov. 11, 3-7 p.m.
Stop by the center, located in the Careers Building, Room 107, to relax and unwind! Movies and popcorn will be featured and attendees will be entered into a raffle for free movie tickets!
Student Veterans Association Club meeting featuring Punkin Chunkin contest!
Wednesday, Nov. 13, 4-6 p.m.
Meet up at the Veterans Resource Center, located in the Careers Building, Room 107, then head outdoors for the club's first annual “Punkin Chunkin” contest! Pumpkins will be on hand or bring your own. Prizes will be awarded for distance, style and creativity! Get outside and enjoy the beautiful fall weather - hot chocolate and marshmallows will be served!
Massages for Military
Thursday, Nov. 14, 9-11 a.m.
The Student Veterans Association has arranged for complimentary chair massages for student veterans and military! Faculty and students from AACC's Massage Therapy Program will be in the Student Services Building, Room 102, to reward your service with a 10-minute chair massage! Student Engagement will be serving Sweets for Soldiers alongside the massages, so stop by for a great morning.
