Directed by James Harp, Artistic Director at the Lyric Opera House www.lyricoperahouse.com, La Traviata is performed by Opera AACC.  This famous three-act opera by composer Guiseppe Verdi follows the story of courtesan Violetta Valery, played by AACC music faculty member Joy Greene, who finds love with Alfredo Germont, played by rising young artist Peter Drackley.  Violetta loses him first through a misunderstanding and then permanently through death.  La Traviata is one of the most beloved and frequently performed operas -- this is a new production!
