The Substance Abuse Education Office and The Collegiate Recovery Center at Anne Arundel Community College is showing the documentary “Chasing the Dragon” at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, in the Cade Center for Fine Arts, room 219 on the college’s Arnold campus, 101 College Parkway. Doors open at 9:15 a.m.
This event correlates with National Red Ribbon Week Oct. 23-31, created to raise awareness of the killing and destruction cause by drugs in America.
The FBI and Drug Enforcement Administration produced 45-minute film features first-person accounts by individuals who have abused opioids or whose children have abused opioids. Admission is free, no registration is necessary and while supplies last, a free DVD of the film will be available at the end of the viewing.
