Be like Swoop, and watch the Monday, Aug. 21 eclipse safely. In the 21012 zip code area, the eclipse runs 1:19 to 4:02 p.m. and peaks at around 80 percent coverage.

The AACC observatory at the Arnold campus will be open noon to 4:30 p.m. for visitors to use telescopes to view the eclipse. There will also be a limited number of solar eclipse glasses available.

The eclipse is also being livestreamed from AACC’s YouTube site from 1 to 4:05 p.m. that day.  It will also air on AACCTV, viewable to any cable subscriber in Anne Arundel County.  Further channel information here.
