Business

The award-winning Center for Workforce Solutions at Anne Arundel Community College has partnered with Project Masters Inc. of Ellicott City to offer comprehensive program and project management courses, including the certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) credential and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification program.

Founded in 1996, Project Masters is a small, woman-owned minority business focusing on providing solutions in program management and administration and quality support services.

With a detailed mission to support individuals and organizations in achieving workforce related goals by providing solutions that address local and regional business needs, the center is best known for conducting quality outreach toward the business and public sectors to develop relationships yielding education and training targeted to specific client needs.

"This partnership will benefit businesses and government agencies in Anne Arundel County by combining the reach and resources of higher education with nationally-certified and experienced trainers," said David Croghan, executive director of the center. "PMI certification is in high demand among the area’s top employers, and Project Masters is widely known for quality and flexibility.

April O’Koren, president of Project Masters Inc., praised the timing of the partnership. "AACC has recognized that the significant business and government growth projected for the county calls for innovative educational resources.

The center provides customized, contract education and skills-based training for businesses, county and state agencies and the federal government. Training in information technology, communications, organizational development, leadership, customer service, OSHA and workplace-oriented Spanish language is available.
