Baltimore Band OutReach Opens for Safetysuit Feb. 27

      Baltimore alternative rock band Outreach will open the Feb. 27 performance of SAFETYSUIT at Anne Arundel Community College’s Jenkins Gymnasium.

      The 8 p.m. show on the college’s Arnold campus is sponsored by the AACC Student Association Campus Activities Board.

      The band has an album in the works for release this year. Its 2007 album, “False Statements from a Pretty Mouth,” includes the songs "Push Me Away," "Dynamite" and "In Different Colors". Its music is getting air time on 98Rock, DC101 and their song “Hometown Hero” was featured on Southwest Airlines/Jack FM’s hometown heroes contest commercial.

      SAFETYSUIT’s hit singles have included “Stay,” which was No. 1 on VH1’s top 20 countdown last summer; “Anywhere But Here;” “Annie;” “Someone Like You” and “Something I Said.” Its debut album, “Life Left to Go” and music are available at iTunes.

      Get tickets in advance through the AACC Bookstore sites on the Arnold campus, at the Glen Burnie Town Center Arundel Center North or AACC at Arundel Mills in Hanover. If the event is not sold out, tickets will be available at the door. Cost is $15 for general admission and $10 for AACC students with valid ID.
