Anne Arundel Community College will test its emergency siren and campuswide public emergency notification system at 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, on the college’s Arnold campus at 101 College Parkway.
The system gives officials an additional way of connecting with people on campus in the event of a crisis or emergency. The siren and public address system is a single siren mounted on the roof of Truxal Library that is 100 decibels at the source and 70 decibels at the campus perimeter. After the siren sounds, the public address system will announce that this is only a test.
