AACC's Flea Market Offers Bargains Galore

May 21, 2010
Events

Shoppers will find bargains galore at Anne Arundel Community College’s 7th annual “Big Flea Market and Community Yard Sale” Saturday, June 5, on the Arnold campus.

The 8 a.m.-1 p.m. event takes place rain or shine and is free for yard sale shoppers, who traditionally find loads of bargains from household décor to exercise equipment, clothing, jewelry, toys, tools and furniture. Head for parking lot F, which is easily accessible off Gov. Ritchie Highway (Route 2) and West Campus Drive. In case of rain, the sale will move indoors to two buildings near the F parking lot: the Cade Center for Fine Arts and the Center for Applied Learning and Technology.

Buy refreshments on site from the Doughy Dog, which is Arundel House of Hope’s food service operation providing employment training for the homeless.

There’s still time to sign up for tables. Those registering on or before May 28 for space, including a table, pay $25. Spaces with tables reserved May 29-June 5 cost $30. Additional tables cost $5 each. No food vendors are allowed. To reserve table space, call AACC Event Services at 410-777-2614 or visit www.aacc.edu/events.

The Arnold campus is at 101 College Parkway. Call Disability Support Services, 410-777-2306 or Maryland Relay 711, 72 hours in advance to request special accommodations.
