Nicklows Donate $17,500 to AACC

      Jerry and Nancy Nicklow of Pasadena recently presented two checks totaling $17,500 to the Anne Arundel Community College Foundation Inc. to support two endowed student scholarship funds they established at AACC in 2009. View photo

      At the AACC Foundation’s annual “Thank You Reception” hosted by Bob Pozgar of Pasadena, the couple presented the college foundation with a $15,000 check to support the W. Ray Huff Jr. Memorial Scholarship established in memory of Nancy Nicklow’s father, the late Ray Huff. Scholarships from this fund are awarded to AACC business students with 3.0 grade point averages who are county residents and demonstrate financial need.

      The Nicklows also presented a check in the amount of $2,500 as their annual contribution to benefit the Jerry D. Nicklow Jr. Student Athlete Scholarship at AACC.

      Last year, the couple donated $2,500 and their company $7,500 to establish the scholarships. Nancy Nicklow is president of W. Ray Huff & Associates Inc. in Pasadena and Jerry Nicklow is operations manager and treasurer. The late W. Ray Huff Jr., who served two terms from 1986-1994 in the House of Delegates representing District 31, owned and operated the company for 47 years and served in the Navy during the Korean War. He died in 2007 at age 72.
