Member of nonprofit groups and organizations are welcome to join Anne Arundel Community College on Friday, Oct. 15, for a special half-day training session, “Boards that Work in Challenging Times,” on the Arnold campus.
The session is part of the college’s fall series of continuing education Nonprofit Leadership training. Participants will focus on the need for boards and their directors or presidents to unilaterally and systematically work together to develop goals and implement change to address the new economic reality. The session meets 7:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m.
Leading the training from 9 a.m.-12:45 p.m. is Stacey Sickels Heckel, CFRE, executive director of the AACC Foundation Inc. She will address critical operating issues facing nonprofits and applying a strategic approach to build high performing boards.
A 7:45 a.m. breakfast program will feature Molly Knipe, director of the YWCA of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County. The breakfast program is hosted by Anne Arundel Women Giving Together, a local philanthropic organization supported by the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County, and is underwritten by the AACC Foundation.
