Business leaders, entrepreneurs and educators will explore “Career and Business Opportunities in Cyber” at a free April 7 Anne Arundel Community College Cybersecurity and Entrepreneurship Symposium.
The 9 a.m.-2 p.m. event features a keynote address by Mark L. Powell, principal and founder of the Sidus Group and chief executive officer of ARGO Systems LLC. Attend breakout sessions led by representatives of the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development, Lockheed Martin, Force 3 and ARINC.
Session topics are “Careers and Employment in Cybersecurity,” “Business Opportunities in and Around Cybersecurity” and “Government Contracts in Cyber.” A panel discussion led by AACC on scholarships, grants, financial aid and degree programs in cyber and business management will show how the college can help participants take advantage of careers and business opportunities in cyber.
This event, set in the Center for Applied Learning and Technology (CALT) on the Arnold campus, is co-sponsored by the Philip E. and Carole R. Foundation Entrepreneurial Studies Scholarship and Chesapeake Regional Technology Council. Co-hosts are the AACC CyberCenter, AACC Entrepreneurial Studies Institute and AACC Business Management department.
