Baum brings more than 20 years experience in marketing and public relations to the college. Most recently, he served as vice president of Crosby Marketing Communications, the third largest agency in the Washington, D.C. metro region.       Baum is also the former director of marketing and, later, president, of the Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI), a nonprofit educational organization that provides certification and training to approximately 10,000 commercial real estate professionals annually. In addition to his leadership and marketing credentials, Baum has taught continuing education courses at AACC.

“Dan brings a wealth of experience reaching the variety of constituents the college serves,” said Martha A. Smith, Ph.D., AACC president. “We look forward to his leadership and strategic counsel as we continue to expand and serve the growing needs of our community and the region.”

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hampshire College and has completed master’s-degree level courses in marketing at Johns Hopkins University.
