Gain New Skills in Effective Board Leadership at AACC

      Learn to identify the types of people who make effective board members, focus on proven recruitment strategies and options for new board member orientations in “Building Blocks for Successful Boards” (NPO 320) at Anne Arundel Community College.

      Registration is under way for this half-day morning program, which is part of the fall series of continuing education Nonprofit Leadership training at AACC. Leading the $49 session on Friday, Sept. 30, is Carrie Geldart-Geyer, an experienced leadership and fundraising specialist now with the AACC Foundation Inc. She will also discuss best practices for goal-driven boards and how to implement change to address the new economic reality.

      A limited number of scholarships are available through the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County for those interested in attending the program. Scholarship information is available by visiting www.cfaac.org.
