AACC Clothesline Project Takes Place Oct. 18 & 19

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Oct. 18-19 -- 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Outdoor Anne Arundel Community College service-learning event, “Clothesline Project,” a visual display of shirts decorated with messages and illustrations about the problem of violence against women, modeled after national Clothesline Project, event includes information on community resources for women who are victims of violence; at 12:15 p.m. Oct. 18 hear a brief program with speakers, event co-sponsored with AACC Center for Learning Through Service and the YWCA of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County; site is academic courtyard between Dragun Science and Humanities buildings (rain location: Florestano Building first floor lobby), AACC Arnold campus, 101 College Parkway; free; 410-777-2366; www.clotheslineproject.org
