Alumni Topple Pioneers at Alumni Baseball Game

Oct. 17, 2011
Events/Sports

A team of talented alumni turned the tables on the Pioneers men’s baseball team Oct. 1 at the inaugural Anne Arundel Community College Alumni Baseball Game. Overcast skies and periods of drizzle didn’t deter the alumni from beating the team 8-3 on the Charles “Skip” Brown Baseball Field on the Arnold campus. A crowd packed the stands to cheer on former teammates and former coaches, share AACC baseball memories and past glories. The game coincides with AACC’s celebration of its 50th anniversary which got under way this fall. Here, alumnus Justin Robey of Severna Park (2008-2009) dives into home to score a run against the Pioneers. Robey is assisting the team this year during its season play. While an AACC student-athlete, Robey led the nation in stolen bases and was named All Conference.
