Brighten a child’s holiday by dropping off a new, unwrapped toy at Anne Arundel Community College’s Department of Public Safety, which is a drop-off site for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots program.
Drop off the toys or donations from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily through Friday, Dec. 21, at the department in the Central Services Building on the Arnold campus. The building is visible from the second AACC entrance on College Parkway from its intersection with Governor Ritchie Highway (state Route 2). Toys also may be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the security desks in the front lobbies of AACC’s facilities at the Glen Burnie Town Center, 101 Crain Highway N. in Glen Burnie and AACC at Arundel Mills: A Regional Higher Education Center, 7009 Arundel Mills Circle in Hanover.
This is the 9th year of the partnership and the college has been one of the largest collection sites in Anne Arundel County.
As the holiday nears, the Marines will distribute the toys to needy children with the aid of local social welfare agencies and churches in Anne Arundel County. The Toys for Tots campaign was created in 1947. For information, call the AACC Department of Public Safety, 410-777-2729.
