NASA Scientist to Discuss Mars at Planet Walk Event

Kelly Fast, from the Solar System Exploration Division of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)-Goddard Space Flight Center, will discuss NASA’s Mars missions at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 13, in the Dragun Science Building Room 110 at Anne Arundel Community College.

Her talk is one of the Planet Walk events on Saturday that are co-sponsored by the AACC Astronomy Club, the Friends of Anne Arundel Trails Inc. and the NASA-Goddard Space Flight Center. The annual astronomy event features both daytime and evening astronomy-themed activities, talks and stargazing: 

10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Planet Walk on 4.7 mile section of Baltimore and Annapolis Trail, beginning at the Sun Station in Glen Burnie, with informal talks and activities at planet stations by scientists, astronomers and members of local astronomy clubs;

7:30 p.m. Kelly Fast gives talk about Mars;

8:30 p.m., weather permitting, community stargazing at AACC Astronomy Lab, in rear of lots A and B beside Resource Management Building.
