Join AACC at Holiday Events and Workshops

AACC offers many events open to the community that are organized or hosted by various college departments or programs.

Now through Dec. 18 – 8 a.m. – 11 p.m. Toys for Tots Collection – The AACC Department of Public Safety is a drop-off site for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots program for the 10th year; bring new, unwrapped toys to the department in the Central Services Building on the Arnold campus. Toys also may be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the security desks in the front lobbies of AACC’s facilities at the Glen Burnie Town Center and AACC at Arundel Mills. Nov. 26 – 6:30-8:30 p.m. Workshop, “Christmas Porch Arrangement” (FLR311-Section 901) – Create an arrangement of fresh greens, holly, snowy hydrangeas and branches in a 10-by-18-inch planter that you bring to the workshop at the Willow Oak Herb Farm, 8109 Telegraph Road, Severn; $39; also bring small wire cutters, scissors and sharp pocket knife; preregistration required; for information and registration, visit the non credit page or call 410-777-2325.

Nov. 27 – noon 25th Annual Anne Arundel Community College Turkey Trot and Food Drive; new route starts and finishes at Siegert Field on AACC’s Arnold campus; participants are asked to donate nonperishable individual meals and snacks for the AACC Food Pantry for students who arrive to school hungry and cannot afford to purchase food; early Turkey Trot registration fees are $20 for 5K race and $15 for one-mile jaunt; race packets available at 10:30 a.m. race day; prizes including turkeys, pies and gift certificates will be awarded in new categories at 1:15 p.m. in the David S.
