Feb. 5, 2014
Although the spring semester has just begun, now is the time for anyone graduating this May to start the transfer process to a four-year college or university. Luckily, Anne Arundel Community College’s academic advisors in Counseling, Advising and Retention Services (CARS) have some events and activities lined up to help you transfer successfully.
Transfer Advising Day is Monday, Feb.17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Union (SUN) dining hall, Arnold campus. First-term students, as well as students who are further along educationally, can benefit from attending this event. See a PDF of attending colleges
• Transfer Tuesdays, through the Career and Transfer Resource Center (CTRC), are available each Tuesday, Feb. 11 through June 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Students can meet with an advisor to help develop an educational plan. No appointment is needed. Students may walk-in.
• Transfer workshops introduce students to the transfer planning process. Advisors from CARS can present brief information sessions to classes and student groups. Ask your instructors or student groups if a workshop is planned or can be scheduled.
• Regular campus visits to AACC from representatives of four-year colleges and universities are scheduled throughout this term to give you an opportunity to meet with admissions representatives and to receive information and materials about transfer admissions.
Details of these events and activities, as well as comprehensive information and resources to guide you through the transfer process, are available at the transfer page
