This single-story 1975 building has undergone numerous renovations, from the locker rooms in 2005 to air quality and pool deck updates and improvements in FY 2009.
The Olympic-size pool is open to the community at various times and has a special lift to accommodate persons with disabilities. The facility is named for Daniel C. Olson, a 1981 AACC honors graduate at the age of 71, a former student member of the Board of Trustees and friend of the college. He and his wife established a swim program at the college for seniors.

13,700 gross square feet
Built in 1983, this one-story structure is attached to the Student Union and houses the 365-seat Robert E. Kauffman theater, box office and an 800-square-foot art gallery. The building is named for Robert and Nancy Pascal; he was a former county executive and both strongly advocated for the project as being badly needed to create a center for culture in Anne Arundel County.
The theater includes a lobby, ticket area, restrooms, stage, backstage, control room and dressing areas. Upgrades in FY 2008 improved the air conditioning system and theatrical lighting control.
PHYSICAL PLANT BUILDING

Part of the original campus, this two-story structure was built in 1967. In 1983, a partial renovation added a facilities shop and office. In FY2008, this space was converted into sculpture and ceramics labs. The building still houses the chillers and the boilers along with the main electrical switches for most of the East Campus.
