AACC offers a variety driver instructor professional development including certification courses approved by the Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA).

What courses will I take?

Professional Development Courses for Driving Instructors

The Maryland MVA requires driving instructors obtain 8 contact hours of professional development every two years when they renew their license. Obtain your professional development credits at AACC through courses approved by the Maryland MVA for professional development. Low cost courses are taught by experts in their field.

Specialty Courses

AACC offers two courses for those interested in working with aging drivers, low vision drivers or those with disabilities. The courses are offered in conjunction with the Association for Driver Rehabilitation Specialists (ADED) and are taught by credentialed experts in their field. These courses have not been submitted to the MVA for professional development approval.
