Real-time Online Tutoring

Get the writing and research help you need without coming to campus! Talk in real time with the same English faculty and research librarians available in our face-to-face locations. The Virtual Writing Center is available to all enrolled AACC students with appointments offered 7 days a week at times ranging from 8 a.m.-10 p.m.


Available Services

  • Writing assistance in any course: AACC English faculty members will help with a thesis, organization, style, grammar and documentation (MLA or APA).
  • Research assignments: Truxal reference librarians will help with finding, evaluating and citing sources (MLA or APA form).

  • Electronic version of essay draft

Appointment Scheduling

To schedule an appointment for an online tutoring session, you must enroll in the Virtual Writing Center. In Canvas, select Student Resources on the left; then select Enroll in Virtual Writing Center (also on the left). Follow the prompts to complete the Orientation Module and Readiness Survey and schedule an appointment.

Virtual Writing Center
