First Year Experience

If you are a first-time college student or need to build a foundation for success in college-level classes, FYE will provide you a supportive and caring environment to enhance your career, social and academic skills.

All Students Will:
- Attend the FYE Orientation in the fall and monthly extended orientations
- Enroll in designated sections of "Student Success" (ACA 100) to enhance academic support skill, note-taking, strengthening memory and time management
- Participate in FYI faculty-led lab sessions, weekly tutoring and study groups
- Enjoy ongoing intrusive advising and monitoring of progress

What Must You Do To Join:
- Complete an application to the college
- Take the Accuplacer Assessment and the Noel Levitz College Student Inventories
- Complete FYE application
- Schedule an interview with FYE Representative
- Sign FYE Commitment Contract
- Register for courses and enroll in FYE section of ACA 100
- Attend new student orientation
