If you are a first-time college student or need to build a foundation for success in college-level classes, FYE will provide you a supportive and caring environment to enhance your career, social and academic skills.

All Students Will:

  • Attend the FYE Orientation in the fall and monthly extended orientations
  • Enroll in designated sections of "Student Success" (ACA 100) to enhance academic support skill, note-taking, strengthening memory and time management
  • Participate in FYI faculty-led lab sessions, weekly tutoring and study groups
  • Enjoy ongoing intrusive advising and monitoring of progress

What Must You Do To Join:

  • Complete an application to the college
  • Take the Accuplacer Assessment and the Noel Levitz College Student Inventories
  • Complete FYE application
  • Schedule an interview with FYE Representative
  • Sign FYE Commitment Contract
  • Register for courses and enroll in FYE section of ACA 100
  • Attend new student orientation
