New Student Engagement!
It is important for new students to establish a connection with their college and each other early in the academic experience. Simply getting to know each other, faculty, and staff, provides new students with a wealth of opportunities and resources for personal and academic use. Having problems with a class? Not sure how to research a term paper? Looking for something to do in between classes? The links to the right will direct you to valuable information you can use!
Orientation is the first step towards achieving academic and personal success at AACC! You should sign up to attend a new student orientation session after completing your placement testing and registration. Orientation is a great opportunity to meet other new students, learn about academic resources, and find out how to get involved on campus!
Commit to Complete YOUR goal!
The Commit to Complete program is just one part of the AACC's Student Success 2020 initiative, launched in December 2009, to help more students be successful and to double the number of degrees, certificates, and workforce credentials earned by 2020.
By signing the Commit to Complete pledge, students pledge to perform specific tasks to achieve their academic goals, such as seeking academic advising and coming to class prepared. College administrators pledged to provide support for students' efforts and to stress the value of attaining their educational goals.
There will be periodic activities and workshops offered for students who have signed the Commit to Complete pledge.
You can sign the pledge and return it to SUN 202.
