Q. How do I start a new club?
A. Students who wish to start a new club must complete a “Petition to Form a New Club” available in the Student Life office. Included on the form are the name and purpose of the club, a minimum of ten signatures of current credit students, and a faculty advisor. A club constitution must be submitted to the student association for approval along with petition.
Q. How do I reserve free tickets for the Aquarium/Md Science Center?
A. Current students, faculty and staff are eligible. Come to the Student Life Office in SUN 202 and reserve a date on the calendar for your trip. We have two corporate passes to the National Aquarium and the Maryland Science Center which can be picked up at 9 a.m. the morning you have reserved them. They are due back no later than 9 a.m. the following day. You may use each set of passes one time per semester.
Q. How do I get approval to hang a flier on campus?
A. All posted material must bear a stamp from the Student Life office. Non college materials may be posted in no more than five locations and must be stamped by the Student Life office with an expired date after 45 days. Please place properly marked materials on any general college bulletin board.
Q. Does the Student Life office sponsor any events?
A. We work with the Campus Activities Board, the Student Association, and other groups to bring events to campus. We host the Student Activities Fair at the beginning of each semester in September and February as well as the Multicultural Week, Earth Day Celebration and Honors and Award ceremony in the spring. Q. Does AACC offer on-campus student housing?
A. We do not offer student housing, however, we offer housing resources for students to find off-campus housing and to view listings of rentals around the area. The service is free and available to students, faculty, and community members. Please note that AACC does not endorse or inspect the properties listed and is not responsible for negotiations or disputes between parties.
