Frequently Asked Questions

Please submit any questions you may have to the Student Life office so we can better serve you.
Q. Where can I find out when and where a club meets?

A.  Login to your MyAACC account and you will see all of the club meetings on the Student Life tab calendar.

Q. How do I start a new club?

A. Students who wish to start a new club must complete a “Petition to Form a New Club” available in the Student Life office. Included on the form are the name and purpose of the club, a minimum of ten signatures of current credit students, and a faculty advisor. A club constitution must be submitted to the student association for approval along with petition.

Q. How do I reserve free passes for the Md Science Center?

A. Current students, faculty and staff are eligible. Come to the Student Life Office in SUN 202 and reserve a date on the calendar for your trip. We have corporate passes to the Maryland Science Center which can be picked up at 9 a.m. the morning you have reserved them. They are due back no later than 9 a.m. the following day. You may use the passes one time per semester.

A. All posted material must bear a stamp from the Student Life office. Non college materials may be posted in no more than five locations and must be stamped by the Student Life office with an expiration date no longer than 45 days. Please place properly marked materials on any general college bulletin board.

Q. Does the Student Life office sponsor any events?

A. We work with the Campus Activities Board, the Student Association, and other groups to bring events to campus. We host the Student Activities Fair at the beginning of each semester in September and February as well as the Multicultural Week, Earth Day Celebration and Honors and Award ceremony in the spring. You can find a list of Student Life events here.

Q.  Does AACC offer on-campus student housing?

 A. We do not offer student housing, however, we offer housing resources for students to find off-campus housing and to view listings of rentals around the area. The service is available to students, faculty, and community members. Please note that AACC does not endorse or inspect the properties listed and is not responsible for negotiations or disputes between parties.
