Student Education Association

Provide students with opportunities for personal growth and development within the field of education; provide leadership training; promote the values, ethics and history of the education profession and encourage the maintenance of high standards for teachers.

Student Nursing Association

Enhances communication among nursing students, plans fundraisers throughout the year, assists volunteer organizations within health care and plans the Nursing Pinning Ceremony.

PUBLICATIONS

  • Amaranth Literary Magazine

    This annual publication includes poetry, prose, photography, art and short stories. The magazine is produced by students and features students' work.
  • Campus Current Newspaper

    The student newspaper is published bi-weekly by a student staff. Student positions include writers, layout, photographers, sports editor, business manager, assistant editor and others.  

PERFORMING GROUPS

RECREATION ORGANIZATIONS

  • Adventure Society - Students electively participate in outdoor recreational activities such as hiking, camping, caving, white water rafting, skiing, etc.
  • Gaming Club - An interactive organization, students participate in role-playing, cards and board games
  • Swim Club - Students have the opportunity to develop better swimming skills by swimming regularly with other club members, participate in swimming events and meet other students that share a passion for swimming.         

SPECIAL INTEREST ORGANIZATIONS

  • Agape Campus Christian Fellowship

    Agape Campus Christian Fellowship is a non-denominational Christian group on campus. We provide students with an opportunity to experience God through large group meetings, small group Bible studies, and prayer meetings. We are sponsored by Agape Mission Church in Elkridge, MD and provide rides to church every Sunday. 
  • Anime

    Students interested in Japanese animation gather to discuss and share examples of this art form.
  • Apostolic Campus Ministry

    Apostolic Campus Ministries provides students the opportunity to study the Bible in small groups, participate in regular prayer meetings as well as to meet and fellowship with other students.
  • BACCHUS (Boosting Alcohol Consciousness Concerning the Health of University Students)

    A local chapter of the national organization, BACCHUS promotes healthy lifestyles and responsible decision making among students in the areas of drinking, sex and drugs.
  • Baptist Campus Ministry

    Students gather for bible study and prayer meetings. The club also sponsors events such as Christian music concerts, retreats and spring break service trips.
  • Black Student Union

    Provides a forum to discuss issues of interest to black students and the broader local community, facilitates access to all college and community resources and offers students an opportunity to give back to the college community. Students participate in the Martin Luther King, Jr Memorial Breakfast, Black History Month activities and host guest lecturers.
