The office strives to prevent the spread of alcohol and other drug abuse by members of the college community by educating students, faculty and staff in a variety of ways that include campus-wide educational programming, sponsored events and guest lecturing in the classroom.
We offer referrals for those who are seeking treatment or recovery and provide support for those persons who are in recovery throughout their attendance at Anne Arundel Community College.
The office is staffed by an R.N. who has specialized training in substance abuse and is certified as a Prevention Specialist.
