Sustainability at AACC

Anne Arundel Community College has been dedicated to energy conservation and improving the environment for years, and we are now committing to broadening and strengthening our commitment to sustainability as defined by the Association for Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education.

To lead the college in its efforts, AACC’s leadership has selected members from across the college to serve on a Sustainability Learning Design Team which meets regularly to make recommendations for improvements.

April 2015 is Sustainability Awareness Month!

Sustainability Awareness Month offers AACC students, staff, faculty, and members of the community the chance to learn something new, discover how they can get involved and explore sustainability-related issues that are relevant to them.

Free workshops, tours, lectures, and more are available on our Main Campus throughout the month of April. Events are organized by student groups, campus departments and community organizations. Activities relating to economic, social and environmental sustainability highlight how individuals can make a positive difference.
