Transfer Services

A “good” transfer occurs when a student takes courses in support of their degree goal—the bachelor’s degree. Understanding the educational planning process is necessary to achieving that goal and there are steps that can be taken to ensure that you achieve a successful transfer.

  • Step 1: Make decisions regarding your career, major, and the school into which you wish to transfer.
  • Step 2: Make an academic plan by choosing appropriate coursework.
  • Step 3: Apply to the college or university of your choice.

This three-step transfer process is also detailed in A Guide for Creating a Successful Transfer.PDF

A variety of resources to further assist you in meeting the challenges of transferring can be accessed through this Web site; through the Career and Transfer Resource Center in the Student Services Center Building/SSVC 222; and by visiting your advisor regularly. To schedule an advising session, please visit Who is My Advisor? or call 410-777-2307, option one.
