Following the completion of this two-year transfer concentration students may enroll for a third collegiate year at a four-year college or university. This, in turn, may be followed by a year’s internship in an approved hospital program in medical technology. Students who are accepted by the medical technology program at the University of Maryland complete the final two years at the Baltimore City campus (UMB). Students should apply early. After completing a B.S. degree, students may take the exam that certifies them to practice as registered medical technologists.
