Online Credit Courses @ AACC
Classes offered over the Internet--anytime, anyplace.
Online courses are on the leading edge of education. Whether you are seeking a degree or enhancing your skills, enrolling in online courses pays enormous dividends.
To participate in online classes, you should have a good understanding of computer hardware and software applications and the Internet.
Anne Arundel Community College began offering online courses in 1996. To date, we offer over 170 sections including four degree programs.
To participate in online courses, you should have:
- A good understanding of computer hardware and software applications and the Internet
- Access to certain technology, check technical requirements
- Good time management skills
- Self-motivation
To begin your online course(s):
- Begin your online course on the first day of classes
- Go to the college's portal page at MyAACC
- Sign on, directions are on the MyAACC Web site
- Click on the "My Courses" tab, select the term, then click on your online course
- Your Personal Homepage will open up in ANGEL
- From your Personal Homepage, you may access all your courses that are using the ANGEL Learning Management System
- Select the course that you want to open
- Navigate through your course by selecting the tabs at the top of the web page
- Be sure to read the course syllabus carefully as each course may have very different requirements and expectations
- Note: Once you have opened ANGEL, close out the MyAACC window to prevent it from popping up on top of the ANGEL window.
