AACC's New Weekend College

Do you want to get a degree, certificate or further your career but your schedule doesn't permit it?

  • Through AACC's new weekend college initiative, you can earn one of five degrees or certificates in just two years through a series of weekend and online courses!
  • Part-time students can attend WEEKENDYOU and take as long as they wish to complete their degree.
  • We even have eight-week courses in the menu of opportunities.
  • Or gain valuable job training through one of our professional certifications in an array of areas.
  • The quality of the courses and all of the related college services you are used to at AACC will be available to you on the weekend, too! Sign up for child care while you attend class.

NEW!ESI and The Hatchery (small business resource center) have expanded hours to accomodate weekend students!

FAQs about WEEKNDYOU

When can I enroll for WEEKENDYOU?
Register now for credit and noncredit courses.  New credit students will need to apply to the college.

Can I apply for financial aid if I attend WEEKENDYOU?
Yes! The college's financial aid program provides assistance to all eligible full-time and part-time credit students and aid is available through scholarships, grants, loans, and employment to qualified applicants. Financial aid is also available for many noncredit job training courses and for some professional certifications.

Can I really earn a college degree by attending classes only on the weekend?
Yes! There are five degree areas available at this time:

  • Transfer Associate of Arts program with concentrations in business, computer science, health/wellness, psychology, sociology, and women studies
  • Business Administration Transfer Associate of Science
  • Business Management Associate of Applied Science
  • Computer Information Systems:  Personal Computer Systems Technology Associate of Applied Science
  • Computer Information Systems: Programming/Analysis Option: Associate of Applied Science

And certificate programs:

  • Transfer Studies Certificate
  • Business Management Certificate
  • Computer Specialist Certificate
  • Database Administration Certificate
  • Personal Trainer Certificate
  • HCAT (various certificates available) 
                                       

And noncredit professional certifications for nondegree seeking students

What is College 4-A Day?
College 4-A Day is a full day of learning including four seminars and lunch, centered on a special theme.  The first College 4-A Day is November 8 on Lifestages: Choices and Challenges for Midlife and Beyond.  Two themed Saturdays are scheduled during the spring term, one on Health Living and the other on French culture.  Learn more by visiting College 4-A Day.
