An AACC student wearing a hardhat and working on an interior system.

Mechanical technology provides the foundation for understanding and manipulating the systems and tools necessary to create functional, safe and efficient environments. Through hands-on training, you'll master the ins and outs of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing systems and forklift operations. Our program is designed to equip you with the industry knowledge and skills needed to excel.

Completing this certificate program equips you with the skills needed to secure entry-level employment in HVAC, plumbing, pipefitting or building maintenance, and can lead to a registered HVAC or plumbing apprenticeship. You'll also prepare for industry-standard safety certifications, including OSHA 30 General Construction, EPA 608 and CPR/First Aid.
