Matthew Dow Smith is a writer and comic book artist. He is the creator of the award-winning young adult graphic novel series The October Girl, the middle grade Amelia Shadows series and the middle grade graphic novel DC’s Misfits of Magic. His art has appeared in Mike Mignola’s Hellboy, DC’s Starman and Marvel’s Nightcrawler, among others. He has written and/or drawn a number of Doctor Who comic book stories for IDW, the BBC and BBC America, as well as many X-Files comic books. He lives in Baltimore.
