Writers Reading Series: Wyatt Ungar
The Writers Reading Series welcomes actor and filmmaker Wyatt Unger.
Unger will read from his work and take questions from the audience.
Unger is a writer/actor from Odenton who has worked in the film industry for the past 14 years. Within that time, he co-founded SHRUG Productions and has created over 35 short films, many of which have been featured in film festivals around the world. He has received multiple awards, including Best of Fest, Best Writing and Best Actor. The scripts he has developed with SHRUG Productions focus on stories about human connections. Unger focuses on writing in a Second City method that ties closely to improvisation and utilizes comedy to say something more.
The Writers Reading Series at AACC hosts an array of writers including poets, fiction writers, essayists, songwriters, memoirists, playwrights, journalists and screenplay writers. Guest writers read from their work and engage in discussion with the audience about things such as their creative process, the arc of their careers and advice for beginning writers.
Writers Reading events are sponsored by the School of Liberal Arts and are free to students, faculty, staff and members of the community.
