Student ambassadors are dedicated to student success, diversity and strengthening student connections. Our ambassadors live out AACC's mission and values while promoting the college's campus life, programs and student services.
Where are you from? I am from Annapolis.
What is your program of study? My program of study is Business Administration, Transfer.
What are your favorite courses at AACC? I love courses that are associated with my major, such as Intro to Business and Principles of Management. One other course that I’ve taken and enjoyed was Women’s Health.
How do you stay connected at AACC? Besides being a campus ambassador, I am the student navigator for the Office of Student Engagement (OSE), as well as a student representative for the Coordinated Community Response Team.
What are your hobbies? I love reading, working out and watching "Grey's Anatomy."
How has your experience been at AACC? Being an ambassador as well as the OSE student navigator allows me to build great connections with other ambassadors and students. My experience at AACC has been nothing short of amazing as I’ve been blessed with many opportunities, but the main reason I love it is due to the positive impact I make on others.
Where are you from? I am from Glen Burnie.
Do you speak any other languages? I speak a little Tagalog, which is the main language of the Philippines.
What is your program of study? I am currently a Transfer Studies major on the nursing track.
What are your future goals? My goal is to receive my BSN and become a pediatric nurse. Next school year I will be attending Towson University to continue my studies in their nursing program.
What are your favorite courses at AACC? Some of my favorite courses that I have taken so far are BIO-101 and COM-111.
How do you stay connected at AACC? Along with being a student ambassador, I am also a part of the AACC women’s soccer team.
What are your hobbies? My hobbies include working out and getting boba!
How has your experience been at AACC? AACC has a terrific learning environment and is a great place to get involved. I began my involvement at AACC as an ambassador and it has led me to make new connections with other students as well as staff members. My experience as an ambassador has been nothing but phenomenal. I have had so many opportunities to learn new skills and make new friends in such a short period of time. I’m looking forward to helping new students because I want them to feel welcomed and supported here at AACC.

Do you speak any other languages? I am learning Spanish and ASL.
What is your program of study? My program of study is addiction counseling.
What are your future goals? My future school is Stevenson University.
What is your favorite course at AACC? My favorite course was PSY-111.
How do you stay connected at AACC? I am a student ambassador and am part of SASP and the SGA.
What are your hobbies? My hobbies include photography and traveling.
How has your experience been at AACC? My experience at AACC has been positive. I've met professors who care about my education. They offer office hours and some of them offer extra credit. I also have met some new people while attending AACC. Being an ambassador I've learned how to ask more questions and how to voice my opinion about certain topics. I am looking forward to helping new students because I want to be a helping hand and get to know new people.
Where are you from? I am from Odenton.
Do you speak any other languages? I am intermediate in American Sign Language.
What is your program of study? My program of study is in Paralegal Studies.
What are your future goals? My future goal is to graduate from a historically Black college and university and make my way into becoming an entrepreneurial attorney.
What is your favorite course at AACC? I loved my Intro to Paralegal Studies (LGS-111) class.
What are your hobbies? I love music and like to run track.
How has your experience been at AACC? My experience as a freshman at AACC has been amazing. This experience has taught me that I can be successful in college and balance fun extracurricular activities like ambassadors and CAB.
Where are you from? I am originally from Maryland. Born in Prince George’s County and raised in both Montgomery and Anne Arundel counties.
Do you speak any other languages? I can read and write in Spanish and can speak a little bit of Chinese.
What is your program of study? I graduated in June 2020 with a Construction Management degree. However, I came back and am now pursuing a degree in Computer Science Transfer - Information Systems.
What are your future goals? I plan to graduate AACC in spring 2022 and will then transfer to UMBC. Before I graduate from UMBC, I want to obtain an A+ certification and be fluent in another language. After graduating from UMBC I want to get a stable job in the field I am pursuing. I also want to volunteer in helping students achieve their dreams and overcome obstacles. I’d possibly one day like to open up my own nonprofit organization to help even more students.
What are your favorite courses at AACC? My favorite course by far was Graphic Communication 1: Composition and Delineation (ACH-111). This is when I was pursuing a Construction Management degree and where I began learning about sketching. I learned the different kinds of views an architect can use when presenting documents to their clients and how many hours of sketching they can go through. Overall, the course helped me in many ways because it was where I started to build up my confidence in myself and public speaking. I also enjoyed Introduction to Latin American History (HIS-142). Although this course included a lot of work and there was a lot of reading to be done, you did not walk out of the course without seeing history in a different perspective. The course touched on different perspectives of Latin history and how many countries came to be.
How do you stay connected at AACC? I have been a student ambassador for over four years now and am a member of the Student Achievement and Success Program. I accepted the outreach director position in 2019 and am still active in that position. I was the vice president of finance for the Student Government Association (SGA). I was also the treasurer for Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and was on the Middle States steering committee.
What are your hobbies? I like to read in my spare time, such as Greek mythology, Norse mythology or looking up words to strengthen my vocabulary. I like to play videos games when I can. I also love learning something new, whether it be a new skill or just a random fact.
How has your experience been at AACC? I love AACC and the ambassador program. It's given me so many opportunities to grow as a person and has given me the confidence I need to go out in the real world. I have gotten to know many people from various backgrounds. Hearing their stories motivates me to better myself both as a student and as a person. I am looking forward to helping students because I have had my fair share of struggles and I want to let people know that, although it may be rough at the beginning, you can achieve anything if you just keep pushing.
Where are you from? I was born here in Maryland and I am a Vietnamese American.

What is your program of study? I am majoring in Landscape Architecture as of now.
What are your future goals? My goal is to get an associate degree and transfer to a four-year school. I am planning to transfer to UMD with its landscape program.
What are your favorite courses at AACC? ACH-117 and BIO-113. Very interesting to learn about plant species with labs and usage within the field!
How do you stay connected at AACC? I am currently on the Ambassadors Campus Team, PTK and the AIAS.
What are your hobbies? I enjoy sketching and tending to my plants and trees. My family has grown some fruit trees in the past few years and enjoyed every bit of it! I also play some video games, mainly Sid Meier’s Civilization and the Fire Emblem series.

Do you speak any other languages? I fluently speak English and Italian. I speak some Spanish too.
What is your program of study? My program of study is Business Administration, Transfer Studies.
What are your future goals? I dream of owning multiple businesses around the world. In the meantime, I plan to transfer to a four-year institution to complete my bachelor's degree. After, I would like to pursue an MBA.
What are your favorite courses at AACC? The courses I've loved the most so far are Spanish, Intro to Entrepreneurship and General Oceanography. It may look like a weird mix, but in short, they describe my passions!
How do you stay connected at AACC? I am a proud member of the Ambassadors Campus Team, the Leadership Excellence Ambassador Program, AACC Honors Program, PTK Honors Society and the Coordinated Community Response Team on campus.
What are your hobbies? I love to travel. My curiosity for the world is endless. I like to learn new languages, try new dishes and explore historic and super modern cities. If I could, I would be on a flight every single week!
How has your experience been at AACC? As an international student there is a lot to get accustomed to when pursuing a college degree away from home. AACC has not only helped me to reach my goals, but it made me feel part of a large community. Thanks to the ambassadors team I was able to meet new people and learn valuable skills outside my program of study. I could not be grateful enough for all the amazing opportunities and the support I received. Now I look forward to giving back to other students!
Where are you from? I am from Baltimore.
What is your program of study? My program of study is in Culinary Arts.
What are your future goals? After I obtain my Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts, I will be transferring to a university to obtain a bachelor’s degree in business. My future goals are to own my own franchise, obtain multiple chef certifications and bring something unique to the industry of hospitality and culinary arts.
What is your favorite course at AACC? My favorite course would have to be one of my cooking labs called Garde Manger. It's like a whole new world of cooking as we learn about food preservation, presenting and plating foods, ice and fruit carvings, various techniques, and so much more.
How do you stay connected at AACC? Besides being an ambassador, I am also president of the Culinary Club (since 2019). I'm also part of the Student Achievement and Success Program and am considering joining Phi Theta Kappa.
What are your hobbies? I love to cook, draw, write, read, travel and work out.
How has your experience been at AACC? I personally love being at AACC and being an ambassador. It’s given me an opportunity to establish connections and explore. It has also given me a fresh start, tools to prepare and invest in my future and has helped me grow as a leader. The ambassador team has felt like family and a safe place for me. I want to help students succeed and am always willing to help.
