OPA-357 Apartment Maint. Technician

Apartment Maintenance Technician Gain the hands-on skills needed to prepare for an entry-level position in the apartment maintenance and facilities industry. Learn about the apartment business, services and repairs for electrical, HVAC, mechanical, appliances, and plumbing. Successful students will receive OSHA-10 Training and EPA 608 Certifications. Upon successful completion, students will be eligible to sit for the Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) exam that is proctored online. Students will receive a letter and provisional certificate from the National Apartment Association Education Institute (NAAEI) and will be eligible for a certificate from NAAEI upon completion of one year of field work. Students who pass the EPA Section 608 exam will receive certification from EPA. CEUs issued. $2,125 includes $912 fee. Prerequisites: General knowledge of basic safety, basic math, and basic operation of hand and power tools. Corequisite: OPA-354 Workforce Success Skills.

Section Info: Note: Section 301 is hybrid with mandatory face-to-face meetings, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sundays at 175 Penrod Court Suite M, Glen Burnie. Attendance in online class sessions Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-9:30 p.m. and 5-9:45 p.m. on Oct. 12-14 and 19-21 is mandatory for section 301.
