BIO-130 Drones Sensing World Around Us

Learn the techniques used to explore and study the world around us. Emphasis is placed on the how biological systems sense the environment and how drones and other autonomous systems mimic these systems to gain situational awareness. Learn the practical, technical and legal uses of drone technology and how remote sensing improves our understanding of the environment. Study the data collected by remote surveillance technologies, for habitat assessment, ecosystem inventories, the impacts of weather and evaluation of weather phenomena. Prerequisites: Eligibility for ENG 101/ENG 101A and eligibility for any general education math.
