ARB-112 Elementary Arabic 2

Focuses on intermediate level Modern Standard Arabic vocabulary, translation, transcription, grammar and sentence structure. The course places equal emphasis on speaking, writing and reading and will place a strong emphasis on conversation, and the defining of vocabulary in context through the translation and discussion of Arabic newspaper articles, radio and television broadcasts and contemporary Arabic literature. Prerequisite: ARB 111, one year of high school Arabic or permission of the department chair. Note: Not for native speakers.
